Lorca 2019 Award with the show NUDOS!

We are in luck! Mª José Casado has received the Lorca 2019 Award for Best Contemporary Dance Female Performer for the company’s new show, Nudos. We are very proud of our entire cast as Raúl Durán and Raúl Gea were also nominated in the category of Best Male Contemporary Dance Performer. The Association of the Performing Arts of Andalusia (ARESAN) delivered on 11 April the VII Lorca Awards of the Teatro Andaluz at the Central Theater of Seville.

See you in FETEN! European Performing Arts Fair for Children

Da.Te Danza premieres its new show at FETEN, Nudos. The first stop after the presentation at the Caja Granada theater will be at the European Performing Arts Fair for Children (Gijón). Nudos is part of the fourteen absolute premieres that make up the FETEN 2019 program together with Andalusian companies such as LaSal Teatro and Miguel Pino Children’s Productions.

Through dance, and with three interpreters on stage, we will tell how experiences in life leave traces, generate different moods and make us be as we are. This production is number 23 of the company Da.Te Danza and premieres at the Caja Granada theater on January 26, 2019 at 6:00 p.m. Later it will be released at the twenty-eighth edition of the European Performing Arts Fair for Boys and Girls (FETEN 2019) on February 21, 2019.

These months all the team is working with the new production of the company, Nudos, a contemporary dance show for children and family audiences in which we approach the concept of emotional knots; how they are born, how we learn to live with them, how sometimes they oppress and others liberate when they get rid of the end. The release date is scheduled for January next year. Start the final count…

We are back!

Although we have not stopped, neither on vacation. We dismissed the academic year with the Small Size meeting and a few days ago we met again, this time in Vitoria. What is Small Size? An initiative at an international level to promote culture and performing arts among children and young people. There are several similar projects, at different scales (national, regional and provincial), in which Da.Te Danza is involved. Do you know them?
